So ladies, I’ve been looking around for some more hair inspiration for wedding hair. There are so many tools for you to give you inspiration and ideas, and even to show you how to do it yourself. I’ve selected a few of the looks I love from the Hollywood Glamour genre (is it a genre, era?) that might be appropriate for your wedding (and mine)!
Veronica Lake! Now that’s hair! A great long hair look that is really romantic and soft. This could be pulled back a little on one side to add a flower or left down. What makes this style unique is the finger waves, and the fact taht during this time, very few stars had such long hair.
Here is a tutorial on how to achieve this look:

Marilyn Monroe hair is a little more 50/60′s but is still pin up. Its a much for fun, sexy look which can be styled a little differently for a wedding. Lots of these tutorials:
Drew Barrymore is a modern pin up who changes her styles regularly, but represents the classic film noir vixen. Here she has a more 30′s style using fingerwaves. You can use the Veronica Lake tutorial on how to do those, and style it shorter. I can’t find any tutorial in particular, but I think it wouldn’t be to hard to replecate. Its a particularly good style to wear with a facinator or hair accessory, as seen here.
Grace Kelly has so much grace… This is a clean and soft updo with perfect waves. Its clear to see the wedding style in this, especially with the pearls. She is known for the smooth hair and good looks. We can try to replicate both. And if sucessful, may we can snag ourselves a prince too… but I guess we already have.
Dita von Teese is super sexy! The hair is in soft but clean curls away from the face, but frames it really well.
While Cate Blanchett is not normally a vintage person, this is a great example of the Chignon. Its an up do that can be done very tidy or softer, like can be seen here.
Ginger Rogers is known for dance. She has amazing soft curls that are brushed out to be soft and romantic. It can also be worn a little more fun and cutely.
